Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. About this policy

Jorden Page Basketball Academy (JPBA), based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, respects the privacy of players, parents and guardians. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our website, make a training enquiry or communicate with JPBA.

2. Information you provide

Our training enquiry form collects the player's name and age, parent or guardian name, email address, mobile number and selected training package. You may also provide a preferred contact method, current team or club, preferred training days and times, and information about the player's goals and experience.

We also receive information you choose to share by email, telephone, text or during discussions about training. Please provide only information relevant to the enquiry. Avoid including sensitive medical information or details about other children in the general enquiry form.

The required form fields help Jorden respond to your enquiry and identify suitable training options. Optional fields can be left blank. You can also contact JPBA directly if you prefer not to use the form.

3. Children's information

For enquiries about a player under 18, we ask a parent or guardian to submit the enquiry or assist the player. Please only provide a child's information if you are authorised to do so, and explain to the child, in a way they can understand, why the information is being shared.

The player's age, goals and experience help Jorden discuss appropriate training. Submitting an enquiry does not give permission to publish the player's details, photographs or videos. Any proposed promotional use should be discussed separately and appropriate permission obtained.

4. How information is used

Information provided in an enquiry is used to respond, discuss suitable programs and availability, arrange the next steps, and maintain records of those communications. If training is arranged, relevant information may also be used to administer that training.

Your selected contact method helps us respond in the way you prefer. If you would like us to stop contacting you about an enquiry, please let us know.

5. Sharing and service providers

Enquiry information is received through JPBA's website form system and email service. Website hosting, form-management, email and technical support providers may process information as part of delivering those services. Relevant information may also be shared with authorised people helping administer or deliver the training you request.

Information may be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to address a safety concern. Contact JPBA if you would like more information about the providers involved in handling your enquiry.

6. Storage, security and overseas processing

Enquiries are stored in the website's form-management system and may also be held in email and related communication records. Access should be limited to people who need it to respond to enquiries, provide training or support these systems.

Online transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please contact us directly before sending sensitive information.

Depending on the services used, providers may store or process information outside Australia. You can contact JPBA to ask about the current providers and processing locations before submitting an enquiry.

7. How long information is kept

Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to manage the enquiry, training relationship and associated administrative or legal requirements. You can request deletion of information that is no longer needed. Some records may need to be retained for legal or administrative reasons.

8. Website information and external links

Website systems may record technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and pages requested to operate and protect the website. Cookies may be used for website functions; you can manage cookies in your browser settings, although blocking them may affect some features.

Links or embedded content from other websites may involve those providers' own privacy practices. Please check their policies when using those services.

9. Access, corrections and deletion requests

You can contact JPBA to request access to your information, correct inaccurate details, or request deletion. Parents or guardians can make requests about a child's information where they are authorised to do so. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity or authority before responding.

If a request cannot be met in full, we will explain the reason where appropriate.

10. Questions or complaints

If you have a concern about how information has been handled, contact JPBA using the details below. Explain the concern and the outcome you are seeking. We will review it, contact you if further information is needed, and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

You can also seek guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about privacy complaints and whether it can assist with your concern.
